When the GOP Turns on Its Base
The America First Purge
President Trump publicly shared my breakdown of the newly declassified Durham annex-evidence that confirmed what many of us have been shouting for years: the Russia Collusion story wasn’t just wrong, it was rigged from the start.
It wasn’t just read. It was amplified by the President of the United States himself.
It was humbling. And a reminder that truth still matters.
But I’m not sharing this for credit. I’m sharing it because while President Trump was amplifying that truth, local Republican committees in Pennsylvania were working to purge the America First people who told it.
Let that sink in: the committee insiders who claim to support President Trump are actively targeting the same type of voices he's signal-boosting.
This isn’t about rule violations or bad behavior. This is about control. It’s about consolidating power, removing dissent, and locking down the party apparatus before the people ever get to speak.
We Didn’t Comply Then. We Won’t Comply Now.
I was a Republican before COVID. I voted for Trump in 2016. Again in 2020. And for a third time in 2024.
Not because anyone told me to. Not because I had to sign a pledge. But because I believed in what he represented - bold leadership, accountability to voters, and an unapologetic America First vision.
So imagine my disgust when Republican committee leaders, right here in our own counties, started using the same authoritarian tactics we fought to defeat.
The Republican Committee of Chester County Chair and his hand-picked Executive Committee are attemtping to rewrite bylaws to silence dissent, punish independence, and force loyalty to the very people trying to cling to power.
They say it’s about “unity.” Let’s be honest: it’s a purge.
Eliminating the Primary Before It Starts
Buried in the proposed bylaw changes is a quiet but devastating shift: only officially "endorsed" Republican candidates will be permitted to be featured or acknowledged by the committee.
No endorsement? No promotion. No platform. No visibility.
That means:
No inclusion in party emails or newsletters
No invitations to speak at events
No highlights on sample ballots
You’re erased before a single voter gets to make a choice.
This turns what should be a fair and open Republican primary into a controlled coronation for those who play nice with insiders.
And here’s the kicker: this policy doesn’t just apply to county or township races where we vote as a collective to endorse. It extends to state and federal offices, where county committees have no say in the process. So a grassroots gubernatorial candidate who refuses to beg party bosses for permission? Blacklisted. We have seen it before.
That’s not Republican. That’s authoritarian.
Even the revised language—adding rules about failing to distribute the official sample ballot or “promoting anti-Republican messaging” remains disturbingly vague and ripe for abuse.
What qualifies as anti-Republican? Who decides? These kinds of rules create a chilling effect that discourage good faith debate and guarantee only one type of candidate: the obedient one.
Primaries are supposed to be contests of ideas. These bylaw changes weaponize procedure to guarantee only one option reaches the public.
What If These Rules Existed in 2016 or 2024?
Let’s be brutally honest: if these bylaw changes had been in place in 2016, or even 2024, Donald J. Trump likely wouldn’t have made it past the front door of the Republican Party.
He wasn’t the insiders’ pick. He didn’t have the donor class lined up. He didn't kiss the ring or play the game.
Under these rules? He could’ve been blacklisted from events. Left off sample ballots. Silenced by his own party before a single vote was cast.
And yet, he’s the one who won. Not once. Not twice. But three times, by going around the gatekeepers and speaking directly to the people.
That’s what these rule changes are designed to prevent.
They’re not protecting the party, they’re protecting the people who think they own it.
When the Vote Gets Buried in Spam
The vote on these bylaw changes is scheduled for August 7.
I’m an elected Committee Member. Specifically, I’m the Vice Chair of Area 20 in West Goshen, Pennsylvania.
And I only found out because I went digging. The official notice was delivered via a single Constant Contact email — and it landed in my spam folder.
That’s not transparency. That’s plausible deniability.
If I hadn’t searched for it, I wouldn’t have seen it. And if it happened to me, how many others missed this important notification? How many more were left out?
No text. No call. No backup confirmation.
A foundational change to the rules of how our local Republican Party operates, and the notice was sent like a coupon.
That’s not just a procedural failure. That’s a deliberate breakdown in accountability.
To make it worse, updated versions of the proposed bylaws were later sent out and again, I never received them, and this time they weren't even in my spam folder. I had to be forwarded a copy by someone else.
That’s two major communications sent directly to committee members that failed to reach their destination.
Or maybe, just maybe, they weren’t meant to.
A Pattern Playing Out Across the Country
What's happening in Chester County, Pennsylvania is not unique. This isn’t just a few isolated skirmishes. It’s a nationwide populist purge, and it’s gaining speed.
Just this weekend, a top conservative strategist publicly confirmed what we’re all seeing: GOP insiders are executing a coordinated, state-by-state effort to marginalize America First voices.
Cumberland County, PA: The GOP committee just voted to remove a sitting America First member for daring to question leadership and refusing to fall in line. (YN)
Virginia: Four GOP officials purged for refusing to support the establishment-endorsed McGuire. (Virginia Mercury)
Texas: Montgomery County committee consumed by censure efforts targeting grassroots conservatives. (Houston Chronicle)
Georgia: Local parties trying to isolate America First members under the guise of “discipline.” (AJC)
Arizona: Maricopa County GOP attacked its own activists with loyalty tests and power grabs. (AZ Mirror)
Even in Pennsylvania, media outlets like WHYY have documented years of Republican party infighting where establishment forces sought to sideline America First conservatives. (WHYY)
We Are the Base. And We’re Done Playing Nice.
We are Republicans because we believe in liberty. Because we remember what this country is supposed to stand for. Because we showed up when it mattered, and we’re still here. Still standing.
So if you’re pushing these changes, here’s your warning:
You’re not purging the fringe. You’re declaring war on your own base.
And let’s be crystal clear:
The money will follow us.
Because we’re the ones actually knocking the doors. We’re the ones turning out voters. We’re the ones doing the work.
If you force us out of your private little club, we’ll get louder. Sharper. More effective.
Outside your walls, we’re free to speak the truth without filters, without loyalty oaths, and without threats of expulsion.
We didn’t comply during COVID. We won’t comply now.
We’re not here to beg for a seat at your table. We’ll build our own, and the grassroots will know exactly who walked away from them.
Final Warning
This is bigger than bylaws. It’s about whether this party still belongs to the people, or just the people in charge.
We’re not going anywhere. But we’re done playing your game.
We didn’t bow to unelected bureaucrats. And we’re sure as hell not bowing to county chairs and executive committee.
Because in the end, we are Republicans for one reason only: We believe in freedom, not submission.
💥Note to Chester County Republicans💥
If you're reading this and you're an elected Republican Committee member in Chester County, show up on August 7.
The proposed bylaw changes may look cleaned up on the surface, but they still carry the same core intent: suppress dissent, consolidate control, and eliminate real primary competition.
Vote NO. Loudly. Clearly. Without apology.
Because if they can silence the most active, America First members now, they’ll come for the rest later.
This is your party. Don’t let them turn it into a private club.
Stay in the Fight
If this spoke to you, if you're done watching the grassroots get steamrolled by the people who were supposed to fight for us, you're in the right place.
