The Day the Supreme Court Changed the Game
While I was focused on my father’s final days, a lot of major news slipped past me. I’m only now going back through it all, so forgive the delay in covering these massive victories.
Two big Supreme Court rulings dropped on July 27th, and they’re both a huge deal.
The first one? Judges can’t use “nationwide injunctions” to freeze a president’s policies anymore.
The second? Parents get their rights back when it comes to what their kids are taught in school.
And once those rulings came down, Trump wasted no time.
What Happens Now
Without courts tying things up for years, here’s what’s already moving forward:
Birthright citizenship changes start in 30 days.
Sanctuary cities are about to lose federal funding.
Refugee resettlement is on hold.
Federal funding for transgender surgeries is ending.
It’s like the brakes just came off.
How Bad It Was Before
There are 94 federal court districts in the U.S., but just five of them—very liberal ones—issued 35 out of the 40 injunctions that blocked Trump’s policies.
Five courts controlling the lives of 330 million people.
Trump pointed out that he faced more of these legal roadblocks than every president in the 20th century combined. Any one of the nearly 700 federal judges could stall a president’s policies for years. That’s not how the system is supposed to work.
Parents Back in the Driver’s Seat
The second ruling is a win for families. Parents can now say “no” to their kids being taught certain things, like transgender ideology, without being ignored. You decide what your kids learn, not bureaucrats or activists in the school system.
It is still ridiculous that parents need to opt-out, instead of being asked for permission for their children to be a part of these controversial lessons, but it is a start!
How Trump’s Team Pulled It Off
Instead of fighting over each policy one by one, they went after the real problem: the power of judges to block a president nationwide.
They made it about separation of powers, not just immigration or education. And it worked.
Cracking Down on Criminals
On the same day, Pam Bondi gave an update on law enforcement:
2,711 arrests of terrorists and gang members.
MS-13, Sinaloa cartel, and other violent groups hit hard.
Ongoing investigations into organized crime.
Why This Changes Everything
Before, these injunctions could drag out a case for two years or more. A president only gets four years, by the time the courts were done, it was too late to actually do anything.
Now? Policies can roll out right away.
Trump put it plainly:
“We have to act quickly when it comes to illegal immigration. We have murderers, killers, drug dealers. The American people voted for these policies.”
This isn’t just about Trump. It’s about restoring the balance the Constitution intended—and making sure the people’s vote actually counts in real time.
