Call to Action: Stop the PA Gun Control Blitz
Ada Nestor | My Reflections from the Edge
Harrisburg is moving a stack of gun control bills. All are headed through the Judiciary Committee. All should be opposed.
Guns are not the driver of violence. People are. The surge comes from untreated mental health issues and a culture that excuses aggression. Do not let these bills slip through on a quiet committee vote.
The Bills to Oppose
HB 837. Handgun rationing. Creates an arbitrary limit on lawful purchases and sets up a “Violence Prevention Account.”
HB 1099. So-called “ghost guns.” Criminalizes homebuilt firearms and pushes serialization and surveillance on hobbyists.
HB 1593. Gun registry by stripping current transfer provisions. Sets the table for tracking and confiscation.
HB 1859. Red flag regime. Invites gun seizures on subjective claims with weak due process.
HB 1866. Redefines “offensive weapon” to ban items like Glock switches on top of existing federal law. Redundant and misdirected.
Your Move Today
1. Call and email your state Representative and Senator. Tell them to vote NO on HB 837, HB 1099, HB 1593, HB 1859, and HB 1866.
2. Contact every member of the House Judiciary Committee. Keep it short. Log your calls.
3. Post on their official social pages. Office accounts cannot lawfully moderate constituent comments. Keep it civil and firm.
4. Share this alert with your county committee, clubs, and range networks.
5. Track responses. Record who supports, who waffles, and who ignores you.

Subject: Oppose HB 837, 1099, 1593, 1859, 1866
Representative [Last Name],
I am a constituent in [Municipality]. I urge you to oppose HB 837, HB 1099, HB 1593, HB 1859, and HB 1866.
These proposals ration lawful purchases, push registries, and enable gun seizures on subjective claims. Criminals will not comply. Law-abiding citizens will be burdened and exposed. Pennsylvania should prioritize enforcement against violent offenders and expand effective mental health interventions, not strip rights from the compliant.
Please reply with your position.

Comments to Post on Official Pages
“Constituent in [Town]. Oppose HB 837, 1099, 1593, 1859, 1866. Target criminals and fund mental health, not registries, rationing, or red flag abuse. Vote NO.”
More examples:
Rationing is not safety. It is rationing of rights.
Registries track the compliant and miss the criminals.
Red flags without real due process punish speech and scare people away from treatment.
Hobbyists are not the problem. Violent offenders are.
Enforce the laws we have. Stop pretending new paperwork will stop crime.
